Samsung Securities (credit rating AA+) issues 30 billion KRW of principal-guaranteed equity-linked bonds (2879th series) linked to Hyundai Motor common stock (300,000 bonds, face value 10,000 KRW).
Maturity is 1 year (May 7, 2027); return is 3.301% p.a. if final price >= 300% of initial, otherwise 3.3% p.a., effectively fixed.
Subscription limited to retirement pension funds; bonds are unlisted and early redemption may incur principal loss.
Historical simulation over 20 years shows 99.8% probability of achieving 3.3% return with no principal loss.
Proceeds will be used for hedging; issuance may be canceled if total subscriptions < 1 billion KRW.
