KIA to invest 2.36 trillion won with Hyundai Motor Group affiliates in new JV for R&D and office base

KIA, together with Hyundai Motor, Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai Glovis, Hyundai Steel, and Hyundai Rotem, decided to invest a total of 2,363,450,000,000 won in the newly established HMGFutureComplex Co., Ltd. for a 29.5% stake
The acquisition amount corresponds to 3.9% of KIA's equity capital (61.19 trillion won) and will be paid in installments over 5 years until December 2030
The purpose of the investment is to secure a complex research and business base for leading future businesses
Put option contract: If any party is excluded from the Hyundai Motor Group, the remaining parties can demand that party sell all its shares in the JV
Right of first refusal: If any party intends to sell its shares to a third party, the remaining parties have the right to make a preferential purchase offer for all or part of those shares
